Well Tigger was put down Saturday, they got him well enough for us to come see him, and he looked so happy when we walked into the room. He looked like himself again, but I knew he was suffering. My whole family went, and we were crying and such for almost an hour and a half, before my grama and mom left the room and left me and my brother to stay with him. He pet him and talked to him, and he tried to comfort us cuz he knew we were upset, but I don't know if he knew it was his time or not. Well I held him and he pawed like he normally did, and I called him his nicknames and such, then they came in with the shot, and he was purring. They injected him and it was over, he was gone.
I'm not sure I've ever cried so much for the loss of something, but my family was crying together, which I'm also not used to. So we went to two different places to get, not a replacement, but somthing to fill the empty spot that meh Tiggie left. The tri county animal humane society had tons of kittens...and we couldn't have any of them, they were all under weight but cute as hell. We then tried the local animal shelter, and they had no kittens. So we gave up for then, and went to petsmart to get bird and dog food for our other pets. while we were there, my brother went to look at the cats that they had, and they never had kittens, until then.
there were three kittens in one of the cages, a calico, tabby, and tuxedo. All three were cats we were looking for, but we could only take two. We found out, talking to the man, that the kittens were just saved from being put down. We had saved Tigger when he was a kitten, he was from a long line of feral cats. When he was only about 4 weeks old, his mom got hit by a car, leaving him without anyone. By chance my grama was visiting my great grama.....under whos trailer they were living, and went under and saved him. When she pulled him out he could barely stand on his own, so she brought him home and nursed him back to health, and he lived with us since then.
So by losing Tigger, we were able to save two more lives. I'd like to think thats why it was his time to go, but who knows.
Then yesterday we went and got his body back. The vet had done an autopsy and told us that he had cancer in his gal bladder, that was blocking the outtack and backing up the bile into his liver, causing him to have liver failure and juanduce, which turns you yellow. The cancer had also spread to the pancreas and was spreading other places somewhat fast. She also said tha putting him down was the best think to do, he was suffering alot and was trying to hide it.
So I burried him with our other pets in my backyard, and placed rocks around his grave, I'm not sure how I finished it either. But hes gone now, and I have two new additions to my family.
both have white feet, with white on their faces and bellies. One is a Tabby, named Kiwi, and the other is Black, and is named Orbit. their really small and really cute, and they already come to you for attention and sit in your lap and purr. I'll have pictures up soon, but for now I'm gonna go. I haven't felt good since My Tigger has left, and I'll be on and off, expect pics soon.
Til then, Crystal Nori
